Model A Working in 2020
Yesterday was a honey-do day. My wife wanted to clean up some half dead trees and shrubs in our yard in the country. After we cut the stuff down, she planned to move it to the woods behind the house with a wheelbarrow. This looked to me to be a long and tedious task, so I suggested that we load it in my 1928 “AR” open cab pickup. This required 5 loads which we dumped back in those woods.
Robert P.S. We even netted some winter fuel from the larger pieces. |

Nice,, if I'd been driving by and saw the truck working my wife would have been screaming " you can't just stop and look at their truck" as we pulled in.

Nice! I am in the process of building a kind of truck from parts to cut wood with and haul brush. Using a 28 motor with multi disk clutch but the other parts are later A and a 26 cowl, the bed will be from a heating oil tank. Won't have to worry about scratching the paint, just scratching the rust.

Too Robert in Burton, Texas.
Yes, use your 28 ute. I use mine for all sorts of jobs and why not. I like your trees. you must have a good water supply to keep them in good condition or had good recent rainfall. I like your gravel driveway too.

I am working on a ‘30 AA that I intend to put to work. Sorting through 2 transmissions now to get a good one.

Re: Model A Working in 2020
I used a pile of parts I had to put together a '28 ute. I used it almost immediately when doing some landscaping.

This is small subdivision next to Army Corps property (so we are surrounded by trees/forest). The gravel is not our driveway but road going thru this small subdivision. It was redone last year when we finally got public water lines laid!

Re: Model A Working in 2020
Great story, I doubt any trucks made today would still be putting in a days work when they are 92 yrs old
