Default Head bolt question

I have two different length head bolts for my C8BA 239 flathead V8. I have the torque sequence chart, but nothing telling me what position the long na short ones go in. Is there a specific layout?

Stock or aftermarket heads? The stock bolts will not work with some aftermarket heads. and it should be obvious with stock heads. The shorter bolts generally go on the bottom of the stock heads. There are a couple of "medium length" holes in the middle of the second row from the bottom that I believe take short bolts. Once you start placing the bolts, what goes where should be obvious.

Put the head flat on the bench, drop the studs in and compare
the heights of the studs.
