He has the proper machinery to open the case and remove everything, then after cleaning and inspection put it back together. I had to leave it with them as they were short handed or he could have done it while I went to lunch. I used the 85/140 oil they recomended and changed when I had about three thousand miles on the oil. Better do that now, cause I'm surely there by now. Good service and I don't remember the cost, not high enough to remember.
When was this? About what did he charge you for this service? He refilled it, right? These O/Ds are not syncronized?

You could make your own with a 1/8” npt nipple and coupling and a zerk. The rubber tip greaser works, too. It is fun turning one wheel to rotate the lube points into view!

The problem with the G5 rating is the increased amount of additive over the G4 rating. It does not attack bronze but can cause problems in syncronized gear boxes because the protective coating builds up too much and then removes a little bit of the bronze when it breaks off. I have changed my mind about the G5 gear oil and will use the G4 oil when I change my gear box and overdrive box oil in a couple of weeks. Warning: This goes against the recommendation by Mitchell.

If you must get a long one, McMaster Carr has them. This one is pn 1095K14 and has a shank length of 2.18" and costs $3.93. Others of different lengths are available.
