Moving the spare on a wide bed pickup
I have a 31 wide bed pickup with the spare mounted in the fender on the driver's side. I would like to mount the spare under the bed at the back of the bed Maby??? Is there a kit to do this? pros and cons or opinions thanks.

never heard of a kit. you will most likely have to come up with your own devise.....
make 10 of them and sell a few to like minded individuals. |

Re: Moving the spare on a wide bed pickup
I had one on an A pickup,I used a Datsun truck spare tire winch. It wasn't my idea,I copied it from an older guy that had A's.He hated sidemounts. He originally had one that was just a plate with three studs that you could use three lug nuts on.He said when he was younger holding the spare up there while getting the lugs started was no big deal, but in his 80's he needed to do something different. The drawback was that I couldn't use a hubcap.Lots of modern SUV's use those winches now,you can find them in direct crank, cable drive, even electric.
