Default Are 1930 Fenders the same on 1930/31 Tudor and Roadsters

Hi Fellow Barn Members:

Can someone out there confirm if the fenders are the same on a 30/31 Tudor and Roadster. I know the splash aprons were different for a 1930 and a 1931. Appreciate your help so I purchase the correct ones.

Fenders for 30-31 are the same basically...BUT

Fenders for the two piece apron will not have bolt holes as the extra section was welded to a lip that is usually shorter then found on the 31 fenders that were bolted.

Also keep in mind there are 2 styles of fenders. One has the crease running further back causing a bit more of a curve as you get to the running board. Kind of hard to see unless you are looking at the 2 different fenders side by side. I am told there is a known original untouched car with one of each type on it.

Just to be clear you are talking about front fenders and not the rear fenders ?

Hi Bill:

I am actually talking about fron and rear. I purchased a matching numbers chassis with a title for a 1930 Station Wagon. I was told the 30 Tudor fenders front and back would fit. I have an opportunity to purchase front and rear fenders for a 31 roadster and was trying to find out if they would fit.

This may help. Not the difference in the "cutout" portion in 28-29 and 30-31. Also notice the triangle shape on the sedan fenders that is not there on the other fenders.

The first is 28 29 coupe and roadster
next is the 28-29 sedan
third is the 30-31 coupe and roadster
next the 30-31 sedan
and last is that triangle shaped on the all sedan fenders
