Default Wolf whistle

Got a new hollywood wolf whistle and installed it to intake manifolld and no high pitch, barley hear it above engine noise. Anyone have this installed ,called the dealer and guy said he would have tech guy call but still waiting....

If there is a "rear cap" losen it up (just a little) and see if that helps. If it is a deep moan sound you hear the inside "noise generator" is not getting "up to speed" for the whistle sound to be made.

I had a working antique wolf whistle. I could blow into it and make it work, but never could get to work on the car. My theroy was not enought vacuum. let us know how u make out.

While trying to blow it, squirt some WD 40 into while it is trying to work. My guess that being new, it is just too tight to get up to speed. Needs lubrication and to be broken in. I have a wolf whistle on every one of our model A Fords. I have learned to play a wolf whistle like a slide whistle. I can play most tunes on our wolf whistles. Easy beginner exercises would be: Call the dog, Wolf Whistle, Bosen's whistle, etc.

I had a Hollywood 50 yrs ago on a Morris Minor, very loud. Where did you buy yours?

i have had the same whistle on my 29 for over 50years and it still works very good.one thing would need to do is glue the spinner in tight it is a sort of a slide fit and they will fall out..I lube with gun oil about once a year.

My wolf whistle that is 30 plus years old quit I removed the clip that holds the whistle part to the housing removed the whistle and cleaned it up with WD40 now good as new.

Followed your advice and no difference, has good vacuum and it really sucks. Bought new at Steve’s speed shop on eBay, contacted him again and said I wanted refund. Thanks to all that responded, JD
