Default 52 f1 steering box

Hi guys

I am attempting to take some slack out of my steering and I have couple question.
Questions:
- Which way do I turn the flathead, clockwise or counterclockwise to tighten steering play?
- is this all adjusted with tires off ground?

Thanks in advance.

Turning the screw in pushes the sector further into the worm to remove play. This must be done with the steering box set at dead center (wheels straight) . On or off the ground really shouldnt matter as you can only adjust the center and no need to spin the wheel lock to lock as the worm is looser at the ends of its travel by design.
