What J Franklin said, maybe stuck valve. You could pull the valve cover off and take a look see. If it is, reach through the spark plug hole and tap it down. Don't pull the head off if you don't need to. There is a shortage of copper head gaskets. If burnt valve, guess no choice, head will need to come off, but be careful and try saving gasket.

Yes Ron what J and Red have stated, I bought my T knowing zero @ #1 and 48-50 for the other three.

I pulled the head and did get the exhaust valve to move again but after cleaning the carbon and looking @ the valve seats I had some work to do.

New cam, valves, adjustable lifters, timer, wiring ect but... it's running and driving again after a long siesta in a local shed.

Just an FYI, the good copper head gaskets are/have been on back order for some time. There now being promised hopefully B4 turkey day

Good luck and let us know how you make out.

If it is a stuck valve, try spraying with penetratingly oil before you tap down.

I’m not clear on what you’re saying. Is it that you’re not getting spark at the plug when the engine is running? In that case it might be a worn timer surface causing the contact arm to skip at #1. It's a more likely cause than valves or compression or head gaskets. Please don't start pulling things apart just yet and send more info.

Yes, got my back-order of 4 last friday. Ron...how are you making out with your ignition problem?

I have developed a slight brake band "chatter" when stopping and will be pulling the hog's head and re-lining my bands over the next few weeks, always something to do to keep'em going
