Default Trunk lock cylinder

I have a new piece of chrome for my 51 Crestliner that goes on the
trunk I cant get the key lock cylinder out is there a way to get it out
thank you for any help in this

On most Ford trunk locks of that period you will need the key to remove the cylinder. With they key inserted turn the lock 90 depress and depress the pin that holds the cylinder in place. You may have to search for the pin. Most are in the front directly over the key slot a few are in the rear of the handle. Once you have the key at 90 degrees the lock cylinder should pull straight out.
