Default Transmission identification

Maybe someone could help me id the year on a couple of transmissions i have.
One has a serial # 1ga314772 this has shift levers on the side of case. The other has shifter on the top,the shift handle is bent back after it leaves the tower then has another bend back up 5 or 6 inches from the knob. Serial # 18-4256394. Thanks

1938 85 HP top shift.

1946 ford 6 90hp. side shift.

Google mac van pelt and look at his web site under serial numbers.

Luckily the trans has the serial number of the vehicle it was fitted to, so is easy to check.

Mart.
