Default Uploading pictures

I can’t seem to upload pictures. I was wondering if it’s because I’m new or maybe because I’m seventy. I sure enjoy seeing photos of other members projects. I have followed the instructions and picked photo from my pictures but they won’t upload.

The problem that is most encountered is that the pictures are at too high in resolution.
You have to determine if you can set your picture taking device to the lowest resolution or use a program to do so to existing pics.

If your using windows download Photoscape
http://www.photoscape.org/ps/main/download.php
It lets you save pictures in lower resolution.
If you are using an iPad just crop them in Photoeditor (need to get the app)
This usually makes them small enough to load. Some people have good luck emailing the pictures to themselves it usually resizes them also.
Hope this helps.

Windows users have a built in app called PAINT. It has the ability to resize photos. .JPG's need to be about 1.4Mb or smaller, I usually set the pixels to about 2400 in the larger dimension.

Thanks for the help. I need to learn more stuff. I’ve been taking pictures with an iPhone and air dropping them to my iPad. Once again I appreciate your wisdom.

I have never been able to load photos that large and that is way above the limit stated in the pop-up, which is 585.9 KB. May depend on how you are posting them, I use the thumbnails, and this is the limit I use.

Ken here’s the one I use on my IPad, I use the free version, I usually crop the picture and it uploads fine. I did a screen print of the app, cropped it and uploaded it below.

I resized the pictures in the link above using Photoscape on a Windows computer, they were all done at once using the bulk resize setting.

I know we're all just trying to help. Here's a post from about two weeks ago where I mentioned the file sizes. It looks like 2000 KB is about the limit on .JPG's.

Interesting that works for you and not me. And doesn't match with the limits posted.

Hi Everyone, One of the less-used forums around here is the Test Forum.

I used it to experiment with resizing the same pic until the file wouldn't upload.
