Two Speed Blower Motor 6V?

Does anyone have a source for a two speed heater blower motor for 6 volts? What about repair parts like brushes and bushings?

Call Bill Randall(760-244-9463) in CA.He restores heaters and goes completely thru and checks the motors out.He also repairs and pressure tests the core.Did a great job on mine.

Here is the blower motor. It is one speed but the two speeds come from the control switch that runs the low speed circuit through a resistor in the switch.

If you save a search on ebay you would eventually get a genuine Ford two speed switch like I did.

Thanks Henry. I have some 2-speed switches "in stock" but I'd prefer a genuine 2 speed motor to replace the OEM unit.

My 51s have the two speed motors with the three wire input/return to energize either set of the two coils in there. The motor I have on the one I'm working on now was still in fairly good shape so all I had to do was graft some new wires to the two inputs and the single current return. I use the same wire kit from Macs that are supplied to replace the switch to motor connections as replacements. The brushes have a scissors/spring set up that makes it possible to put the thing together without damaging the carbon tips/ If the carbon tips aren't worn too bad, you might still have some life left in the old ones. Just clean up the armature/comutator and the bearings then service the bearings and put it back together.

Here's a two speed motor if it would work for you but it's 12 volt. I think you were looking for 6 volt.

Anyone have the NAPA part number for a two wire one direction fan? My motor is shorter then the one listed and hits the heater core. 12 volt system.

Hi,
this isn,t on the motor, but on the mounting plate.
My 41,s plate has only one hole and that is just for the switch .mounting plates for later fords used a mounting plate that has two holes. One for the switvh and the other for p push-pull rod for the de frost valve. The defrost control was mounted on the heater itslf on a 41. So be careful which plate you need, you might purchase the wrong type.

You may have solved this problem, since you made this post in 2010, but I just had to reply. Take a look at the NAPA Heater control catalog. It has a section of blower motors with dimensions, rotation direction, shaft size, speeds and voltage. I have used these motors in many restoration projects.
