226 flathead Ignition timing
Hello everyone I'd appreciate some advice on how to set the timing for my 226 flathead 6
I have a little knowledge on how to get at TDC and line up the little dot on the pulley with the pointer But I get stuck with adjusting , I have a timing light and a vacuum pump so which would be best to Use? Also my carburetor is a aftermarket single barrel It's a generic brand any help would be grateful 🙏 |

Re: 226 flathead Ignition timing
What year or model? The G was early and an H was later. I have an H and adjusting timing is rather normal by rotating the distributor. Does the G have it's distributor on the front of the timing cover facing the radiator?
