Re: 1931 82B Model A Pick Up
Do you have a closeup pix of the left tail light bracket? Maybe a underneath pix of where/how bracket is mounted.
Nice Truck, thanks |

Re: 1931 82B Model A Pick Up
Mine mounts the same as Katy's in post 8.
I don't believe the Bratton's listing is correct for a late 31 Budd pickup. (post 7) Bracket should look like the attached photo. (I did not look up that part number in the photo - photo borrowed from an ebay listing) BTW, the reproduction brackets like this don't fit correctly if the wiring loom guide is installed. Find an original. Last edited by GRutter; 07-11-2022 at 10:56 PM. |

Re: 1931 82B Model A Pick Up
To answer the first posters question I have checked the Judging Standards and find that the data in Bratton's catalog is the same. in 2017 catalog, page 89 is a photo of part number 19380 with its period of use description, May 1931 to end of production with wide bed, On same page part number 19280 is the earlier pickup bracket with catalog photo upside down to its actual in use position, and facing wrong way also, but I am sure you figured that out.
I found this earlier post on this same subject, from a few years back. Last edited by lotsagas4u; 07-12-2022 at 06:09 AM. |

In post #1, it looks like it has the later, slingshot mount, maybe owner will confirm, thanks to ALL.

Re: 1931 82B Model A Pick Up
Carbone, wasn't your original question the value of the truck?
While I am no appraiser, I have noticed that they are popular right now and are regularly listed on Hemmings and HAMB in the $15k to $20k range. Of course, this would be a truck that is mostly correct and in good running order. Also, I don't know what they actually sell for, just what I have seen them listed for. This disappoints me as I wish I could buy one myself. Honesty being the best policy though, I have to admit these are going for more than I can afford. |

Nice truck. FWIW, NADAguides says $10,500 to $28,600 with $14,150 average, but they don't differentiate between early- and late-1931. https://www.nadaguides.com/Cars/1931...-Pickup/Values |
