Default Sun Visors: Make your own?

My 1939 Ford Convertible came without sun visors and I cannot find any replacements. Anyone manufactured their own? Or used a substitute?

There should be various sun visors available on Ebay, Dennis Carpenter, Bob Drake or other sources that can be adapted.

They don't look that complicated.

1939 Convertible had two different visor/visor arm combinations. Late 1939 was the same as 1940. See the EV8 Club "1939 Ford Book" for explanation.

I have attached a sketch of a 1940 visor (from a Merc, but I think its the same), note the frame construction details.

We make the visor arm for the late 1939-1940, and the spring.

Sorry, but I'm not familiar with "stock style repop" frames. Can you enlighten me? What they are. Where to buy? etc. Thanks

I think I got mine off Epay but C&G has them 3rd Gen prolly does as well. I think it is a Vintique product, The shield shaped mount bracket and the frame is all you get. I have a Pfaff leather walking foot sewing machine and I covered the frame w/ cardboard wet and shaped till dry, fabric to match interior, some real leather to bind the cut edges nicely and stitched er up! They would look like original if I had used the proper cloth and binding but I was going for a bit more flair.
My car is a coupe and I believe the vert has a different config (just guessing), but the covering process is prolly the same.

Do you need just the visors or the whole assy with top mount ?
I have several sets left over from my convert.sedan projects.

I need the whole assembly as you show in your picture. The two mounting holes are 2&7/16 inches apart. They are parallel to the top and ther is no third mounting hole.
