Default What Year?

Coupe on Epay looks like part 28-29 and part 30-31.

It looks like a 29 standard coupe with 30-31 19 inch wheels, 31 radiator, 30-31 style steering wheel and probably later two tooth steering column and some other brand headlamps. Its not that unusual to find them with a mix of parts. In days past some were more interested in being able to ride than haveing the correct parts.

Something doesn't look right between the door and the back part of the body, look how
the top of the door lines up with the back part of the roof.

That's an authentic original "Johnny Cash" car, one piece at a time....

It is a late 29 standard coupe with a number of 30/31 parts like Purdy stated. It appears the drivers side door is drooping some. It would take a lot to restore it, I my opinion. Lots of parts to buy if it is to be made like it was originally.

Bob

I think that they shimmed the front of the cowl in an attempt to allow for the taller 31 radiator. Shimming the front of the cowl will kick the back of the door down. If the whole body had been shimmed it would have looked better. Door alignment is mostly controlled by shimming the body.

The doors have the correct molding for a 28-29 coupe & tudor. the quarters and top appear correct for a 28-29 standard coupe. the rear bumper appears correct. The main things that stand out is the wheels, radiator and the steering.

It appears to have the correct hood and it is sitting low on the shroud, I dont think it is shimming of the cowl, maybe an issue with rotted roof wood causing the rear of the door to sag, but also appears the drivers qaurter to be up in the front. What ever all the issues it sure as heck aint worth the 6k bin
