Thumbs down 1929 roadter

I am working on my 29 roadster quater panels that were rusted at the bottom, can someone show any pictures of how they are attached to the subrails (new from Brooksville) . I did not have much to work with on the quaters to refer back to. Thanks

Earlier today I looked at some images that I have taken during past restorations and I don't really have anything very detailed that shows how they were originally folded over. Is that what you are looking for? I hate that your post has dropped down this far so if you can give me an idea specifically what you are needing guidence with, maybe I can take a picture of something else or show something from a different project that will help you.

I have a new subframe and both quaters are rusted away about 3". I can form new metal which I think has 90 bend along the bottom and I have the door jam support bracket. Does the bottom edge fold under and around the subrail to close the bottom of the quater panel? what about the wheel well?

Ha, for a minute there I thought you sneaked into my garage and snapped a pic of mine. This is what I need to redo after removing a lot of bondo.

Does anyone have a picture of the fit at the bottom of the quater panel door jam, meeting the subrail? A close up to show how to form the finish edge against the subrail.

what about a photo of a 29 roadster seat riser with the quater panel door jam bracket all sitting on the frame correctly, and maybe the seat stiffener brace?

I folded mine under the sub frame using hammer and dolly. However, The question I have is do you leave the scalloped edge open so it will drain water or should they be sealed off?

Thanks, I am hoping to see the fit between the riser, jam, sill, subrail, ect. How much space should there be?

How about this one? The quarter is attached with tabs. Let me know what you want as I have my roadster body sitting on it's side and can take pictures easily. This is an original quarter.

I just bend the length of the panel under the subrails on the ones I did. I tap the metal over center then squeeze tight with a vise grip sheet metal clamp. Seems to work out OK.

Thanks, It seems my roadster may have had the small 1" tabs but I am not sure there wasn't much left. Is the roadster any different then a coupe or may be mine had work done in the past? Also I have a small 90' bracket coming from the quater door post to the subrail on the top side of the sill plate is this orinigal ?
