Default Distributor for -52 8ba ???

I have a 8ba from 1952 in my car. What exactly is the correct vaccum distributor called / named or numerärs?
Need to find i good one as mine does not work
I have my 6v system still in the car

There are two styles of 8BA distributors, aluminum and cast iron, and they use different front covers, so you need to match what your engine has.
It maybe easier to fix what is not working with your present distributor. What does not work?

You can send it to Michael at Third Gen Automotive, he is a member on this forum, he can rebuild it for you. This way the distributor will be original to your car.

Most 8BA era distributors work well after typical tune up efforts: verified good or new vacuum advance, verified free to move plate, good or new points, good condenser, new rotor, new cap. Set initial timing and go. This is a "modern" single points type distributor that is easy to work on and conveniently located. These are easy in all the ways the earlier distributors are difficult.
