Default clutch question

I rebuilt my engine and transmission over the winter. I used kevlar bands and the turbo 400 clutch set up. installed using the ford book specks. The problem is that when I go to high gear the pedal comes way back tward the driver more so than with the ford clutch set up. What am I missing? I have used watts clutch discs before and not seen this problem.

When you put together the clutch disk stack did you check the height? It should be 1 1/8 inches. The spring measurement is 100 to 115 lbs at 2 inches compression. Your fingers may be set too high. I have a used set of turbo 400 disk in mine and set the fingers to 13/16 inches measured from the face of the driving plate to the collar.

Thanks Red I'm going to adjust the bands this afternoon and will also adjust the arms and link . The link right now has a bit to much play in it. Frank

Adjusted things over the weekend. Raining all weekend and still today. Wish I could get out and test drive.
