Default Two questions...

1. Is there a difference between '28-'29 and '30-'31 head light bars? Pictures?

2. How is the Ford emblem attached to the radiator shell??

Thanks!

I don't have any pictures but the difference between the 28-9 and the 30-1 the bar is a little straighter, And now the radiators ford emblem is pressed in there, and there a bitch to replace if you ever need to replace one of them.

As there hard to take out and put back in there as on the 30-1 radiator shells the top comes off, ( the black part of the shell ) but there hard to take out without ruining the shells black part.

If your taking it out just because of the paint or something like that have a tattoo artist look at it, as he can probably fix what's wrong with it as mine was just scratched up a little bit and I just painted it myself.

Best of luck on that one Reggiedog

So, I got my CRUSTY radiator shell all cleaned up, filled all of the rust pebbling and after the third attempt, I got a nice high gloss coat of black on it. Today, I got a package with my nice shiny new emblem. The little instruction sheet details how to modify the holding lip on the emblem and I'm OK with that. The thing that worries me now is that the emblem has a very definite bow to it. The radiator shell has some curvature of itself but nothing near that of the emblem. I don't want to bugger up my efforts on the shell and I'm afraid of cracking the enamel on the emblem. What do I do folks? Thanks!

At this stage, I'd leave it as is. I know it's stuck in your mind, but go further and you will not avoid the need for cosmetic repairs. Your photo is not from the perspective people will view it.

Thanks. Photo is taken lying on its back. The opening for the radiator at the bottom. The edge of the emblem is reflected in the paint and the distance between the edge and the reflection shows the gap.
