Default Newbie Question: 1947 Mercury Power Top

Perhaps this is a silly question, but did all '46-48 Ford and Mercury convertibles come with a power top? The one I recently purchased does not have a power top and I was wondering if it came that way from the factory or if a prior owner just didn't go to the expense of restoring that function when it was restored. I don't see any signs of its previous existence. The '46 Ford we had when I was a kid had a non-functioning power top that was eventually restored to functionality.

All 1946-1948 Ford and Mercury had power hydraulic tops. This also includes Lincoln. If you need pictures I have restored two of these cars.Hydro-electric in Punta Gorda Florida has all the parts you need to make this work . Dave Collette

Thanks, Dave. That's kind of what I suspected. I wouldn't mind seeing photos when you have a chance. No rush, as any power top work is a ways down on my list of priorities.
