Default cooling system filter

In one thread I saw a question asked on cooling system filters. I have searched and searched but can't find the member or that question.
I asked the same question a long time back and had a multitude of answers. One system I tried was to install a tea strainer in the hose that returns the coolant to the radiator. It was sent to me by the forum member Old31. It works well. here is the link.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

hope this finds the member who asks the question

Gary,

That’s a tea strainer. I’ve heard of people cooking on the engine of their Model A’s but brewing their tea in a Model A is a new one for me.

you seem to know about cooking on the engine and making tea using coolant. There could be a market for a Model A cookbook Trevor. An opportunity for you to pursue.

I have used a ladies nylon stocking put in the lower end of the hose to the radiator and held in place by the lower radiator hose clamp. Cut the nylon off and use about 4 to 5 inches in length. Run the engine, check the accumulation of debris and when the debris is reduced to little to none remove the nylon.

Well fancy that pdgx. Learn something every day.
Yes there seems like there is several on just that subject but to complement it I find there are several on cooking road kill.
Here in good ol Aus we have an extensive menu. There's rabbit, hare, fox, possum, dingo, bovine, ovine, koala, kangaroo, camel, canine, cats which is a wonderful sight, Tasmanian devil, dogs which is sad.
What a great way to start a day- learn something new.
Keep on writing informative stuff pdgx.

And to continue on road kill, there is also runway kill. Some funny incidences occur in aviation. Many are published. From some time back the airport tower (in USA) advised an airliner of a dead animal at the end of runway 07 to which the pilot responded "I'll let our caterers know straight away".
