Default 34 Ford radiator frame mount pieces

I put a wanted post in the Swap Meet section, but was wondering if anyone knew of a source for these. I have 2 34 frames that are missing these wedges that mount the radiator and fit just in front of the crossmember. I could fabricate something but would prefer an original pair or good quality reproductions (if such a thing exist).

Likely you will want the heftier '34 version, which is a full triangle with an additional attachment to the frame side rail to go with the revised front cross member that became the only ones supplied for '33-'34 service replacements after the end of the '33 model year.

They show up from time to time on the auction site. The pair below is 34 as mentioned above the 33 are much different.

I have a pair of these that I think are in pretty good shape. I haven't looked at them for a couple of years. I also have riveting tools and I may even have the rivets. Everything is in Washington state, I am in Maine and won't be in Washington until December. If you are not in a hurry we can touch base then.

so for fun, here's my rotten rusty mounts. the frame numbers are 34, and no holes for 33 shocks, which of the 3 variations of brackets do we have here, early, mi, or late?

The '33 variety, but as they are bolted in, not necessarily original to the frame.

It seems odd that I wouldn't have noticed this difference between the 33 style and the 34 style before! Always good to learn new things!!

Notice the hole in the corner of the cross member at the frame rail.....it's a '34 design.

The '34 "gusset" (that's what their called) will have a complete corner that has a hole in it for a rivet in that position. Actually there are rivet's used for all holes. If bolts have been used, it's a sign the piece has been previously removed and put together as easy as possible. The '33 gusset doesn't have that hole in the corner. It actually doesn't have a 90 degree corner at all, but makes a small diagonal opening across that point. No attachment at all for a corner rivet.

As the image shows, this gusset has had some major surgery with a cutting torch in the corner, and along the front edge of the cross member. It should extend to the hole seen to the far left of the cross member.

Wonder what they were trimming it down for? Not sure what you would need to clear in that area.

There's no apparent reason as an original '33 cross member has the same front corner rivet location as the '34 front cross member and there's nothing above or below the resulting little triangle of open space that suggest a possible need for access.
