is this shock on upside down?
this is the rear shock, hangs down below the frame rail, the brake rod hits it.
the only reason i can think of for the brake rod to get bent is the shock is upside down? and maybe side to side? whom ever put this car together never cut out the inner wheelwell for the shock to fit so they installed them upside down. thats what im trying to figure out. i can't find a picture in my books of which way is up. anyone have a picture of what is the proper position on the rear frame? thanks ou |

Re: is this shock on upside down?
The shocks on both the front and back are supposed to hang down like that.

Re: is this shock on upside down?
[QUOTE=old ugly;2064839]perfect picture. shows the brake actuator and proves that mine is backwards
thanks ou[/QUOTE Two different brake cam levers. Check vendors - like Brattons catalog. Yours may be swapped left for right side. Looks like it to me. Something bent that rod, find out what. John Last edited by aermotor; 10-09-2021 at 06:45 AM. |
