Default 46 Ford pickup door lock latch remote

After continually getting locked out of the truck because both the left and right latch remote springs were broken I have the passenger side remote out and have no idea which way the spring goes or for that matter if I even have the correct spring to repair it. Here is the remote and the spring. Can anyone show one that has the spring in it or tell me if one of the repo remotes will work for me? Thanks!

You should post your location in case there is someone near you to help. I have a 46 pickup coming to my shop next week and if you have not solved your problem by then I will get some pictures posted.

Look closely at your pictures 2 & 3 you will see the "shadow" of the missing spring. You have the correct replacement part. Putting it in requires bending at least 2 of the tabs. Be careful not to break them off. Warm them up before or you will have to weld the cage on after you get the spring in place.
