Default Leak in Vintage wire wheel

Help how do I fix a leak in my vintage wire wheel. The black tape has a hole inside over a spoke that is leaking.

Thats a real wire wheel with adjustable spokes, unlike the ford wires with welded spokes, thus, no place to leak. Yours was never intended to be run tubeless I believe. sealing the spokes will take some imagination, maybe ask the wire wheel makers how they do it on new ones

I think a tube is the remedy.

I think you should remove all that tape clean it thoroughly and apply silicone heavenly around the whole wheel . That's what I had on my Mclaine wheels and they never leaked.

On some new wheels I saw many years ago,,,,,it had a bead of silicone that was about 2 inches wide,,,,,and maybe a 1/4 inch thick around the middle .
I assumed that was the new procedure,,,,,,I can’t remember the brand wheel,,,,,,but it was a big name .
