Default Locating Screw Holes in 32 Rumble Side Panel Cardboard

Hi,

Anyone have a good way to transfer brace hole locations to the inside of 1932 cardboard panel in trunk/rumble area? I'm thinking of putting a short screw the wrong way in the existing trunk/rumble area brace holes and loosely locating then pushing the panel toward the brace to make a small punch mark. My panels are new Lebarron Bonny panels for my rumble seat side panels. There must be a better way.

Short screw ground to a point worked for me on interior panels.

you can also buy "cone point" set screws and install them backwards using your fingers.

Thanks everyone for the input.

I have some hex head machine screws that are the right size so going that way to use them as pin point markers on the inside of the cardboard to locate my screw holes.

The other head scratcher is that the front, most forward brace in the rear has a couple of holes that look like may have accepted the push in type of panel connectors. My panel doesn't have the holes for them though and with the vinyl covering no way to put any in easily. The screws and bevel washers will be more than adequate.
