Default 1949 1950 1951 Flathead 254. Good runner big six 8MTH

City: Slc
State: Utah
Price: 1250

Good Runner Flathead Six 254. With Synchro trans T98
Engine came out of a 1950 F6
prior owner told me the truck had 60k miles on it.
I found the engine rebuild tag right away. (He purchased the truck from a farmers family and he didn't know about the rebuild or when it was done)
Tam factory authorized engine rebuilder.
says bore .040
rods and mains 0.010

After cleaning out the carburetor and adding the electric fuel pump it ran. The stock pump was pumping on its own but engine stumbled (not getting enough fuel)
Oil pressure was near 60 at startup and closer to 50 after hot.
after run compression was 138, 130, 132, 138, 139, 138

Asking 1250 for the engine. The trans is available
And can be sold seperate if needed.vb

Video links here. Or copy and paste the link
Apologize about the Crappy video. Was getting dark and only zapped myself a couple times messing with the Vacumn gauge next to the plug wires.
Oh. Vacumn was between about 15 to 18 elevation here is 4700.

Radiator is also available for an additional 200
its an original brass/copper in like new condition
I'm not sure if its big enough for this engine or not. Was probably behind a 226? Originally. ??

The exhaust flapper spring is there but the arm is broken off. The flapper is stuck in the open position.
other than that the exhaust manifold is in great shape.

I can email more photos and link to the videos if need be. Send me an email.
