Are you referring to a specific brand?

Bar's
I patched my block but it still has a small pinhole it seems to be weeping from. I also noticed the top driver's side fins on my radiator seem to be wet - I picked up this exact bottle based on another comment here (thinking yours maybe) -

Any guidelines or advice on how to add and use it in the Model A?

So I threw some pepper in there and it seemed like it stopped. I also noticed that the outside of the radiator (the chrome shroud) gets REALLY hot after only 10 min of running. Any ideas?

How cold does it get in a "significant winter"?
Are your vehicles parked inside or outside?
If inside, is it heated?

I add Bar's when the coolant is at operating temperature with the engine running.
At Long Island, the winters are cold, wet, and windy. Temperatures typically reach 25°F and occasionally below 11°F.

Stop touching the shroud. Lol
Seriously, I think they all get too hot to handle. I recently burned my hand on my Toyota.... some things never change.
