Default Horn stopped

Finally got a battery in the car. Horn worked (sickly of course) then stopped after a while. If we hit the horn button the ammeter drops.

Ideas for troubleshooting?

Back off on the adjusting screw quite a bit so it won’t make noise. Then hold down the horn button and let the horn motor run up for about 30 sec. then adjust it to get a good sound. I’m sure it needs lube also. See if this helps.

This did it. I had lubed it but apparently it was too much. I backed it off and spun it. Kept getting faster each time. Couldn’t keep it running for 30 seconds though without the horn button getting fairly warm.
