Default Transmission Problem

As you can see in the picture the smaller gear has slide and the way back and doesn't want to go back in the correct position. How do I get it to the correct position?

You might need to jack one wheel off the ground to remove the pressure.

Well I got it fixed, I depressed the clutch wedged a 2x4 inbetween the frame and the clutch rocked the car and got the gear to move. I got all the gears back to neutral drained and flushed the trans put new oil in it. I installed a brand new shift tower I got from Mike's. Im good to go amen . Thanks for all the help, and no I didn't use a big hammer and a pry bar.

If I may ask, why did you need to replace the shift tower? Was it cracked or something? Or do they wear out?

I'm just trying to learn what breaks and/or wears out so I can keep an eye out for future problems...

The ball on the shifter was worn which gave me the problem in the first place and the forks were also worn. Rather than messing around with replacing everything it was more cost and time effective to replace the shift tower.
