Anyone bought a 6 volt battery recently?

Not a six volt but in the 70's I bought a lifetime guarranty battery from J.C Penny for my '70 VW van. I still have the van and two years ago I went back an got my 5th or 6th FREE battery. They're still honoring the guarranty but stopped selling auto parts years ago. Now, I go to JCP customer sevice and look for the oldest person there to get my certificate for a ANOTHER battery, then take it down to the Firestone store for the replacement.I'm curious to see how long they'll honor the deal, hopefully my lifetime.

I bought two 6v in last 3 months. One for the A and one for the 1952 8N tractor.

NAPA Auto parts, Group 1 Commercial. Both fit and crank great!

I'm on my 9th "Lifetime Warranty" JC Penny 12v battery for the ’59 VW Westphalia bus and the Volvo 122 Amazon.

Firestone now tries to buy the warranties back for $150 each every time I walk in. No thanks.

Lifetime warranty battery! Great idea Mr Penny.

Model As are hard on batteries.....like mine is drivin only once a month or less....not enuff to keep the battery charged...I recommend an Optima battery...the cost more but they are worth it in the long run...no plates....more crank amps...safer...
