That's what I call a Kluge Job.
Haven't heard that term used in many years! Thanks for rehabbing the phrase. I will start using "Kluge Job" at the next available opportunity.

Oh yes . . . the wife tonight prepared one of her horribly disgusting weird Kim-chi based Korean specialty dishes . . . Upon surveying it, I can now say . . . "Honey . . . that's a total Kluge Job".

She'll probably think it's some kind of compliment!

It is easy for us to sit and look at picture of a car and pick it apart but I wonder what the purpose of the extra long rear spring center bolt is for? It seems it would hit the center section on a big bump.

I'd take it. It's definitely one of a kind.

its the one out of the parts books nowadays, just never got cut off and the end peened to prevent the nut from loostening. Its extra long so you can tie all the relaxed sting pack together.

I have to ask. . . what is Kluge? never heard of it. So I wikipedia-ed it,

Among German-speakers, it is pronounced "KLOO-guh"; in that language, capitalizing, and adding a final e to, the adjective klug (meaning "clever"), creates a noun; it is applicable to females and means "clever one"

Clever one? Doesn't fit this context, does it?

The car was clearly thrown together from parts laying around. The paint was not done very well under neath because of all the surface rust coming through. I put money on a lot of used parts put under the car so it moves. My guess they will tell you it drives 45 MPH, if you are used to a good running properly restored car then you probably would be scared to go 30 MPH.

You will notice the lack of plating done on parts, lots of silver and black paint. Some of the bolts look like a mix and match of stuff laying round. All the hallmarks of a questionable low budget throw a car together.

While the body looks interesting, I would reserve further comment till I would look at how it was actually built. That could go either way.

I think they mean something like every town has their greasy con man that shines up/repaints junk cars and tries to sell them to suckers. Not saying that is the case here nor saying anything about the guy who built it but there are alot of piece together cars that look great (modern or not) but really just a shiny turd...

So in a way clever to make money off of people who dont know any better sorta clever. Kinda like the guys who take old firearms - replate/parkerize them and claim they are rare or mint condition.

A great lesson in life is if you have nothing good to say, say nothing. There was no need to attempt to disgrace this car. I am surprised a Barner would resort to this conduct. Wayne

The only reason I posted about this man's creation is that some members wanted to see more pics of this car. What I found is a bunch of nit pickers and negative comments. I just wish I was as perfect as you commenters.(NOT)

A risk you take with every post. After 3 years and 200 plus posts you should have realized that. If you think there are any inaccurate or false comments ask the moderator to remove them. Wayne
