When I ran my roadster on the beach at Pendine I took off the generator and fan belt. For short bursts it was ok. There is a certain amount of Thermosyphon effect. This is a street driven car with radiator in place.
For a dragster you might be able to do the same.

V8coopman we drag raced both cars and boats but filling the block was for the big boys. Pushing the limits on cylinder walls with huge bores and stronger wall for crazy compression. My buddy’s ProMod had an Donovan all aluminum block and still he blew it into pieces crazy.

I bet this is for a great event like Mels TROG.
