Default 1930-31 Roadster seat question

What parts do I need to put together a roadster seat?

Seat base
Seat back base
Seat and back springs
Are there adjusters on a roadster seat?

Best place to find used or buy new pieces rather original ??

Thanks

Hello, no adjustment on roadster seat just sit inside metal riser riveted to floor pan . Snyders makes seat springs ,usually the originals are rusted and wore out . I think the basic parts of the seat would be the back spring that is attached to a wood frame and the lower spring that sits in the riser as mentioned before. The below the lower riser is a angled floor pan where the side curtains are stored.

There is what Ford called a seat adjuster. It is really a 2 piece "package shelf" mounted behind the backrest. There are 2 sets of screw holes for attaching the 2 pieces together allowing a slight change in the tilt of backrest. These 2 pieces are reproduced and available from the usual vendors. By the way, I sent you a private message the other day regarding the parts you were looking for. If you didn't see it, just click on Private Messages at the top of this page.

I used the short seat from a Dodge minivan and had it upholstered. Worked great and much more comfy than the original

I replaced the original springs with 3" seat foam, very comfortable
