Likely not an original Ford part on it.

I would say I have a friend or relative that is a Trooper (in that state) and I'd like to have them inspect the car for me before proceeding with the purchase...

Okay this is on a site a friend found www.trovit.com. Quite a few '32's listed and this roadster is the cheapest. There are 2 '32 5W's one for $16500 and another for $19900. There are some listed for $60K also.Something funny here.I Googled trovit .com,Is trovit.com legit? and boy is there a bunch of be careful or you'll lose your money comments.Trust Pilot even has a comment. Its a search engine started in Spain in 2012. So basically I am ALERTING you folks about this ripoff.I have no interest or interested in that car.

Yeah, probably a scam. Only other explanation would be a misplaced decimal. Parts, even if all repro would exceed that price.

Why don't you contact the seller (you are provided contact information) instead of speculating as to what it may be.

Even if there isn't one real '32 part on it, and the total body is aftermarket fiberglass, it's still a steal at that price. Looks like probably a custom built frame with independent suspension in the front. I know a lot of people on the Barn frown on cars like this, but for a street rod, this sure looks like a bargain.

When I said "ain't real", I meant scam. At this stage in my life, I wouldn't buy it for $1000. 20 years ago, I would have been all over it.

Not worth my time (or a lot of guys here) to waste chasing scams down.

Sheldon, Sometimes there is something presented that I simply 'don't quite get'. I'd like to refer you to an example that Jake and I both noted in the June 2020 HMN, page 66, results of a Scottsdale (Russo and Steele) auction. They show a 1932 Ford Model B (with V8 badges), with a selling price of $17,050, against an 'Avg. Selling Price' of $30K. Looks like a decent deuce roadster in the picture. So, is that 'for real'? Both Jake and I question what we see there. But, on the other hand, I would think that by the time HMN publishes these auction results, I would hope there is some credibility to what they presented.

I remember seeing that roadster also and the price.I think it was blue so even if it was an early Wescott body that was either a missprint, typo or something else.

I wasn't searching or hunting out scammers.A friend here in France is in search of a '32 coupe project and asked me my thoughts since he doesn't totally understand English and sent me the link. It just did not seem right on what some of the cars were priced. I then did a Google search and what I found was not good.I alerted him and thought I would pass this info on to members here, that is all.

By the way, MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone. Here is a genuine '32 Ford Christmas card.Maybe Pete can enlarge it . Imagine a New Deuce 3W for $460.
