Default Itīs a bad day when...

Oilpan is filled with more metal then oil...
Rod bearings are bluer then the sky...
Pistons look like they had a rough date with a course file...

And the reason for all this is that someone descided that knurling anything inside the engine is a great solution instead of rebuilding properly...

Did you know that you can knurl the mainbore...much better the cutting the caps and linehoning...

If the camgear is loose on the crank...guess what...lets knurl it !!
That the camgear now is offcenter is just a free bonus...

Did they bother to spray paint the engine? Because that definitely looks like a rattle can rebuild.

I never even heard of knurling stuff like the mains. Guess there is a good reason, it's not not that good of an idea.

If that is chatter from ford doing the linebore...OUCH...they are deep and dialbore gauge is doing a rollercoaster ride through there...
And while they was at it of course they brought out the big grinder and balanced the rods...

Maybe they forgot to put oil in it upon startup . . . looks bed enough for that to be the inauguration of it's new life!
