Another brake question- brake adjusting shaft.

I am also replacing the worn adjustment wedges on my rear brakes and find the brake adjusting shafts edges are also a bit rounded and show some wear, now can I dress these up on the grinder or file the angle back so that may work properly together with the adjusting wedge and are there any specific dimensions here for this angle etc? Or would it be best to simply purchase a new set. Thanks , John Spragg Australia.

Make sure they are of equal length and just make the angle sharp enough to get the click adjustment sound

The new reproductions are very good and of correct dimension. I would replace the wedges and the upper brake anchors ( A-2042) and make sure the pins fit well and everything moves freely.
Don't forget new brake rollers and pins and to restore the roller tracks as well.
