Re: Fog Lights
Probably Drake. They were at the time pretty darn good quality. The lens is not quite the same size and can't be replaced by an authentic lens.

Re: Fog Lights
Thanks guys for helping identifying these. May let them go later. Any ideas on what year these lights were used for?

Re: Fog Lights
The Ford script fog light like you have was sold by Ford in 37, 38, and 39. They are basically the same all years but some had minor differences in the arms and the 37,38 switch differs from the 39, a very rare item. As Kube said, the Drake light is a good reproduction. I have several original lights and some Drake parts if anyone needs them. PHIL

Re: Fog Lights
Yep, postwar and I'm fairly certain they are after-market.

Re: Fog Lights
A few years ago I picked up a pair at Rhinebeck................originals................ ...20$ for the two, no brackets AND they worked. Used them on the Model A as turn signals, they're now on the 40.

Re: Fog Lights
The light in post #8 is of Unity H-1 lineage, 6v sealed beam bulb. This style script logo must have been short lived as most are stamped with the block style FORD.
Maybe it preceded the 50’s block style from post war to its introduction?

Re: Fog Lights
My 39 peekup has a pair of swell foggers. I heisted them out of Jessie's junk yard in 1956 and mounted them on my 40MERC. as you know, Daddy died that summer and the40MERC had to empty the garage so mother could rent the garage. The foggers went into a box in my basement. When the '39 came to live with us the fogs joined the '39 face. in 2017 the same 40Merc returned home and now faces her foggers in my garage. And it is just SWEET! (the fogs are Mopar

Re: Fog Lights
What size wire was used for the installation of the original fog lights? Was the wire color coded as was the other wires in the wiring harness?
