Default length between 2 bolt holes - 9in, clutch

East question. A friend called yesterday and had a flywheel but no clutch or flywheel. Her thought it used a 9in. I told him to measure 2 of the bolts holes between centers. I measured an old 9in, plate that I had 2-15/16 between centers. Does that sound right? Walt

Don't know quite how to explain. I take two pairs of bolt holes and measure the distance across between the two holes nearest each other. Should be around 7 or 8 inches.
