Default Trim Barn Find - Mercury?

Found a pile of chrome trim pieces, all were newly chromed and wrapped (including two big bumpers).

Owner wasn't sure what it came off of, but had been in the garage for over 10 years.

I unwrapped a couple of pieces and took pictures (attached) they look to me to be off an early 50's mercury.

Anybody know for sure what make and year of car? Will have to unwarp more to determine model.

Thing with a hole - Bumper end from a Cadillac early-mid '50s?

Pretty sure the hood ornament is Mercury as you can google Mercury hood ornament and there is a picture of one that looks just like this one.

If you go to Ebaymotors.com and type in "Lady Hood Ornament" several of those repro. lady hood ornaments will appear. The other piece looks like the exhaust part of a 1955 Caddy. Here's one on Ebay.

"thing with hole in it" = Looks like 1954 Cadillac rear bumper corner fitting with exhaust pipe opening. However, don't remember if the bumper was three-piece or one piece. The Lady reminds me of the '54 hood ornament - a side view would help.

can't really tell but the thing with the hole in it could maybe be the optional spotlight/driving light that is on the front bumper 52-54 mercs. i had them on my 53 monterey.

Tomorrow I'll open up some of the odd looking pieces and see if anything gives any better clues.

I've seen nothing like that on the hood of a fifties Mercury. My 52 just has the fake chrome hood scoop. If anything they would have the "winged messenger", little man with the wings on his hat.

If you sell the Cadillac bumper ends, I may be interested.

Rusty Junk Ranch is right about the hood ornament and it is probably worth a bit of money. These were on the really plush model Caddys that competed with Duesenbergs and top of the line Packards etc.

Hood ornament definitely looks like the '31 Cadillac, but the bumper pieces are not that old, will do some more unwrapping and see what all the pieces are.

Thanks for the feedback
