29 Coupe trunk floor
Did the 29 coupe with a trunk lid alway have the same floor panels as a rumble seat car? What is the difference between a standard coupe and a special coupe?

Re: 29 Coupe trunk floor
I believe the floors were the same for trunk and rumble. Special coupe had wood framed, fabric covered upper cab--much the same construction as the Sport Coupe, but with different window treatment--I think--I don't have one.

like the standard coupe than the Sport coupe, with the roof fabric covering the back of the cab down to the beltline. The metal panels around the rear window were some what plain or even crude as they were covered by the roof fabric anyway. . There was also a metal beltline trim strip that covered the lower edge of the roof fabric around it’s bottom edge. I believe the rumble seat floor etc was the same on both trunk and R/S cars except for a curved panel from the inside trunk lip down to the seat pan on the rumble seat cars. . Here is a photo of a 29 Special coupe with the roof fabric removed.. Art Last edited by Mustang; 07-07-2010 at 03:11 AM. |
