Default Render helped me choose a color

Since My tudor was assembled in April 1929 I could go with the early color combination with rock moss upper body back and reveals or the later one where the upper body back and reveals were left vagabond green. I rendered both and decided I liked the earlier pattern.

BTW I Finished the back wall of my virtual 1929 dealer showroom. I still have to do the front wall with display windows looking out to the street. It will never be seen and is only there to be reflected in the car. I know, I'm crazy! But if I'm going to do it it will be the best I can make it!

Here is the latest test render:

Yes it is on a turn table. Once I get everything the way I want, I'll render animations of the car turning 360 degrees for each color. The showroom is based on an actual photo of a tudor (probably a 28 not a 29) in a showroom I picked up on eBay.

What modeling software did you use? I am relatively new to 3D and want to start making Model As using Blender

I think you have too many stars on your flags! Very nicely done, I'm always impressed with people that have that kind of talent! Great job!!!!

I have been playing with a program called SketchUp. It has allowed me to design several things; including a trailer for the Fordor.

Although my eyes crossed doing it; there are 5 rows of 6, and 4 rows of 5 stars on the flags. My math tells me 30 plus 20 equals 50. Others my "see" differently than me.

I think What Maclab58 meant was the US flag in 1928-29 only had 48 stars. It is a very cool showroom sketch regardless.

Not to be too anal about it, but according to the flag code the flag should always be hung or displayed with the field in the upper left corner. This goes back to my Boy Scout and Navy training. It still bothers me that current military uniforms sew the flag on the shoulder with the field in the upper right corner.

Ooops! I replaced the flags with older ones, and added door knobs and baseboards while I was at it.

I am using Lightwave 2015 for this work, but I don't want to give the wrong impression. It would have taken me 6 months to model the tudor. I saved much time by starting with a 3D model I purchased from :http://humster3d.com

This gave me a great head start. All I needed to do is define all the surfaces for adding color and textures. I also have to repair a few spots with missing polligons. (Look carefully at the lower edge of the belt line moulding.) However It has saved me 6 months work. So it was worth the cost to me. I know how long it would take because that is how long it took me to model the USS Monitor (the second picture), and it did not have all the compound curves of the model A.

Vern - I apologize; I wasn't thinking in terms of what year the display is. But, at least my eyes are still working.

...and it hasn't changed and I concur with you about the shoulder patch. They based that on a myth that the blue background and stars always go into battle first. Hogwash Myth!!!!!!!!! It bothers me to see a color guard in a parade with one rifle on the left shoulder and the other on the right. Not according to military regulations. But.....this is going off topic.

I love the show room, very nice static display.
