Default 1934 spark plugs C-4-X

I have just bought, off of E-bay, 4 Champion C-4-X Spark plugs.
I have a 1934 C 4 cyl. engine that they will fit into, but a friend is trying to talk me out of them for his 1932 v-8.
Can someone tell me what these C-4-X plugs are correct for,

Pre-October, 1932 V-8s which explains your friend's interest in them. Plain C-4s (no X suffix) were used from then on, including on four-cylinder engines.

Thanks, So the C-4-X WOULD NOT BE CORRECT for my C banger engine.
Correct for my 1934 would be the C-4, witch I have more of in my spark plug collection, My friend with the 32 will be glad to here this. I have had 2 c-4-x plugs for a long time, but did not want to give them up because I thought they were correct for 34. Now I have 6 plugs with the X, My friend with the 32 is an older man, not very e-bay savvy, he will have a COW when he finds out they were $35.00 each. Was that a good buy, they are nice but not new?
Thanks Robbie

Not at home so no pics yet . These C-4's are also correct for my 1934 & 1935 John Deeres and I have probably 50 NOS ones . At least !!!! Anywayz the most common seems to be the ones with red lettering and no brass cap on top . Second seems to be the red letter ones with brass caps . Least common seem to be the ones with navy blue lettering . I have about a dozen NOS ones like that and all are no-brass cap types . FWIW in early 34 JD parts books the plug pictured has the brass cap . I will add pics when I get home. On pricing I only buy NOS ones and have paid from $5 to $100 each for them . Navy blue ones are the high end of course . I don't buy the modern-non coke bottle ones .

Good restorable C-4-X plugs are not growing on trees and they are in demand by by-the-book restorers. I'm still looking for two of them myself and I would step up to that price in the blink of an eye. (All C-4-X plugs are the take-apart variety with the brass cap over the upper end of the insulator and their lettering is in red.)
