30-31 Coupe door parts
City:
Jax
State:
Fl
One of the doors on my coupe is dented in at the top, "bowed" down. I'm looking for just the top 10 to 12" of the door. I was hoping someone out there had a crappy door that I could get the top from.

Do you have pictures? It might be possible to repair it easier than replacing the top of the door.

Re: 30-31 Coupe door parts
This car survived a twister years ago, maybe you can see in the pics that the top of the door is "flat", the "crown" of the door has been pushed down. No matter where I push it, it will just dent and not move. I fixed the rest of the door, it used to look like a Lays potato chip. I just cant restore the crown.

Re: 30-31 Coupe door parts
By looking at the pictures, I would try pulling that top flange of the door out. It looks like the top of the door took the hit and needs to be pulled back out.

I'll try again, I might weld some tabs to it and use a slide hammer. Thanks for the tip.

Re: 30-31 Coupe door parts
find someone who has some body clamps and stretch the door it should come right out, DO NOT use a hammer on it you will end up smashing the lower part, I have stretched many doors over the years, John
