Distributor paint
The exterior of the distributor is semi-gloss black. Does the inside get painted or left natural?

Re: Distributor paint
Don't over paint the distributor because it will play havoc with your ability to generate a proper spark at the points.

Bottom of the distributor that sits on the head, and the ignition cable threaded hole should be paint free/clean. They are major ground paths for the points. Also where the lower ignition plate screws to the distributor body. Speaking from experience with a vendor rebuilt distributor. |
