Column shifter parts diagram and overhaul instructions

I have a 46 bus cpe trans won't shift inti 1st or reverse, any suggestios greatly appreciated.

Did you try shifting from underneath with the linkage off?, Macs has a linkage rebuild kit, I found one in the trunk of the 41' I just bought. Early Ford v8 club has a great book for 41-48 Fords, page 3-21 has an exploded view of the shift mechanism.

I rebuilt mine on my 40 , bought the kit from macs , then went on e-bay and bought an NOS kit ,thats the one to use.
