Default Rebuilt Model A Engine, Full pressure to rods & Mains

City: Garfield
State: Arkansas
Price: SOLD

SOLD

This is a block I had rebuilt to put in a Pietenpol airplane I planned on building. Well, I'm almost 82 now and airplane dream is not going to happen.

The block is bored to .080", has premium valves with hardened valve seats, adjustable lifters, aluminum timing gear and full oil pressure to the mains and the rods. Yes, the crankshaft is drilled and oil is piped from the oil pump to the mains and it then goes from the mains to the rods. There are no oil dippers on the rod caps. There is a oil pressure relief valve in the valve chamber and it is set at 75 PSI. When this engine is cold on startup the pressure may reach 75 PSI, but then as it warms up the pressure settles down to 25-35 PSI. There is a special high pressure oil pump that goes with this engine. I will also include an oil pan with this engine.

The crankshaft is not counterbalanced. I did not want the extra weight of the counter balancing for the Pietenpol airplane. The Pietenpol airplane struggles as it is with a Model A Engine for power.

Oh yes, there is NO core charge on this engine - that alone is a $300-$400 savings for you.

You could also have this engine as a long block option with high compression head and test run on a test stand for several hours. Email me for options, price and timing and I can build it up for you.

Email me if you want more information. [email protected]

Since this is a very heavy item and I have no idea where it might be going you can email me and perhaps we can determine what crating and shipping costs would be. You are welcome (encouraged) to pick this up in NW Arkansas (near Rogers & Bentonville).
