Default Kr wilson spring shackle tools in ebay

I’m surprised someone hasn’t bit on the Kr wilson spring shackle remover and installer set on eBay . Have had the luxury of mine for many years and it makes a difficult job like hot butter.

I totally agree about their utility, but wow, $1,500 for tools used only once in a blue moon (I know, I have them).

Maybe that's because his starting bid is $900! It didn't sell and he relisted it. You can buy a ball joint tool for $40 that does the same thing!

Gee, it didn't sell. Seller must be funding his retirement.

I saw a spring bushing tool advertised, and almost bought it, until I saw that the bolt to push bushings through was only about 1-1/2” long, not enough to install/ remove bushing. Ones I’ve seen were much longer.

I too noticed that one and had in fact advised the seller that the threaded portion was either wrong or had been damaged and he maty want to inform any potential buyers. Apparently he chose not to.

You can borrow a ball joint press from Advance Auto, make a couple threaded sleeves on the lathe and you are in business without tying up all that cash for one or two jobs. If you already have one, that's great.

I have to ask , why would Larrys40 start 2 separate threads on this obviously overpriced tool? Seems a bit excessive

Well now uncle buck. It was an accident... just that simple .
Lots of you guys by snap on tools I’ll bet and pay high dollars for them because they work better, yet you can go to harbor freight as well. I was just passing this along to be helpful.
I’m an avid Krw collector and user and know how useful many of the tools can be.
Amazing the variety of comments.

Larry, That's totally understandable and easily done. I have made many mistakes here often use the edit/delete message box. Keeping everything in one thread is more beneficial to all of us including yourself. If the thread can't be deleted because of posts, changing the heading to "please delete" is possibly an option. Back to the tool, It is a very expensive tool for the average guy for sure. It looks like what todays ball joint presses were designed after and they work well so I imagine this does too.
