But these are the rear wheel bearings for the Double As. If they're no longer available, how are they still on the road?

They show up on Epay once in a blue moon.

New Info:
Our Model A club's engine guru has determined that I need two bearings that look like the picture that Bob C included in post #13 (on page 1 of this thread) with the following dimensions:

OD: 3-7/8"
ID: 2-3/4"
LENGTH: 2-1/4"

Any idea what these bearings are from and where I might get them?

Thanks,

Harvey

Timken has the diameters listed in their catalog but the length is shorter. might try them or your local bearing house.

I have a couple of BB-1225 bearings, but they are only 1.75 inches in length. You can have the bearings for the cost of shipping if you want them. They are new, but have some rust stains under the wax paper. If they are any good to you, I have no need for them.

TRIVIA: VOLVO translated, means "IT ROLLS"--They were originally a BALL BEARING Company. Among other things, they also made Tennis Rackets & Nylons. Has your Model A ever been "blown" off the road by a HUGE, VOLVO Big Rig??? They DIDN'T build Airplanes, but they build FIRE BREATHIN' JET Engines!!
